Ensuring data is securely shared and managed to meet the needs of all user communities

OnPoint is supporting the use of data to improve health outcomes for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) by ensuring the NIMH Data Archive (NDA) securely supports de-identified and sensitive data from thousands of NIH-funded research projects, and federates with other data repositories worldwide. The NIMH Data Archive is a fully-operational system that supports data ingestion, management, access, and compliance across a diverse array of user communities and data types. As NDA scales, OnPoint is delivering enhanced user experience for all communities (mainly the research community and NIH staff) through the use of human-centered design while ensuring privacy and security of the subjects in the NDA database. By doing this, OnPoint is improving federation into the NIH data ecosystem, including the NIH eRA system and the broader global ecosystem of neuroscience data repositories.
