International Organization for Standardization 9001 (ISO 9001)
ISO 9001 is globally-adopted standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). The standard was derived from the collective experience of international experts who participated in the ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 176, Quality management and quality assurance. The certification can be utilized across any business field or industry to improve organizational quality. Organizations must re-certify to the standard every three years, and undergo third-party surveillance audits each year.
OnPoint’s QMS first achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2005. The standard’s principles have guided OnPoint’s management towards improved performance in areas such as process planning and continual improvement. ISO 20000 is an international standard for Information Technology Service Management systems (ITSM). The standard was developed using best practices described in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) framework.
OnPoint’s IT Service Management System (ITSMS) first achieved ISO 20000 certification in 2009. Certification to the standard demonstrates OnPoint’s commitment to our end users by anticipating end user needs, and proving the ability to respond accordingly to those needs with high-quality services. ISO 20000 principles have also improved internal functions by aligning our ITSM processes to provide services as efficiently as possible while maintaining high end user satisfaction.)

ISO 27001 is an international standard for specifications of an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISMS expresses OnPoint management’s commitment to ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information by the implementation of security controls based on risk factors. ISO 27001 not only covers security for electronic information but extends to physical (e.g., hardcopy) and proprietary knowledge of employees. This holistic approach to information security demonstrates credibility, trust and confidence with all interested parties such as customers, stakeholders and partners.
OnPoint’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) first achieved ISO 27001 certification in 2010. OnPoint continues to actively monitor, review, maintain and improve the ISMS through the ongoing review of risk factors and implementing new security controls to manage or eliminate them, continually improving protection for OnPoint’s business sensitive and confidential information related to our business, our employees and our customers.
Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI®-DEV)
CMMI is an internationally recognized method for evaluating and measuring the maturity of an organization’s development processes. CMMI-DEV provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for developing products and services, and to guide process improvement. The certification was initially developed for software engineers by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) with the input of experts in industry and government, but has since evolved to embrace other areas of interest such as development of hardware products, the delivery of all kinds of services, and the acquisition of products and services.
OnPoint was first appraised as CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 2 in 2008, and was appraised as fully compliant as CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 in 2011. This maturity rating demonstrates that OnPoint has well-defined, effective, and repeatable processes for managing requirements, decision-making, measuring performance, planning work, and risk management in our solutions development and delivery practice. It also confirms that OnPoint maintains a focus on continuous process improvement.
OnPoint’s management is fully engaged in the ongoing review and improvement of our certified management systems through active participation in system reviews which include the identification and effective remedies of any nonconformities. OnPoint conducts internal audits regularly in addition to the annual surveillance audit performed by a third party organization to ensure that all management systems maintain compliance while being improved.
